If you are looking for thumbnail designer jobs, the most useful proof is not a long resume. It is a clear portfolio showing that you can make thumbnails people understand fast. We care about readable text, strong contrast, good subject choices, and the ability to follow a customer brief.
What kind of thumbnail makers we are looking for
We are looking for people who can make custom YouTube thumbnails, Shorts covers, TikTok covers, product review thumbnails, gaming thumbnails, podcast thumbnails, business thumbnails, and other social video artwork. You do not need to be perfect in every niche, but your portfolio should show strong visual hierarchy and clean finished work.
Good thumbnail work usually has one clear idea, a readable hook, a strong subject, and a layout that still makes sense at small sizes. If your thumbnails rely on clutter, tiny text, or confusing details, they will be harder for customers to use.
How the worker beta works
Worker access is selective. You sign in with the same account you would use as a customer, open the Worker Portal tab, and submit an application. If admin approves you, the worker dashboard unlocks on that same account. If you are not approved yet, you can still use the site normally as a customer.
Approved workers can claim available jobs, message customers through the order thread, send completed thumbnail files, ask admin for help, and manage payout information from the worker dashboard.
What to send when applying
Send a portfolio or gallery link that admin can view without needing to request access. This can be a website, Google Drive folder, Behance page, social profile, Dropbox folder, or any public gallery that shows your thumbnail work. If the link is private, make sure sharing is turned on before submitting it.
You should also include the PayPal email you want to use for payouts and a short note about the kinds of thumbnails you make best. Mention your strongest niches, typical turnaround speed, and whether you are comfortable working from rough customer notes.
What makes a strong portfolio
A strong thumbnail portfolio shows finished thumbnails, not only design mockups. Include a mix of styles if you have them: gaming, tech, business, podcast, product, education, reaction, entertainment, or Shorts covers. The goal is to prove that you can make a customer idea look simple, polished, and click-worthy.
Do not worry if your portfolio is small. A few strong examples are better than a large gallery full of unfinished or hard-to-read designs.
Apply when you are ready
